Randy Orton Admits He’d Prefer To Defeat Cody Rhodes Over Jey Uso
Randy Orton has his eyes set on the prize.
Randy Orton advanced to the finals of the King OF The Ring tournament that will take place at Night of Champions. He will either face Jey Uso or Cody Rhodes in the tournament finals and made his choice on the SummerSlam Kickoff show.
The SummerSlam Kickoff show aired from New York City in association with Fanatics. At the beginning of the show, The Apex Predator made his way out to the fans, singing along to his entrance music. The first question Michael Cole asked him was whether he would want to face Jey Uso or Cody Rhodes in the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament. Randy Orton had nice things to say about both Superstars but chose Cody Rhodes over Jey Uso.
“That’s a great question, Cole. Cody’s been doing his thing, he left, changed the entire industry for the better in my opinion, and we all thank him for it. He’s a brother, I’ve said this multiple times, I love him like a brother, but I’ve also said it a few times in the past few weeks, so we’ll do whatever it takes to get to John Cena, beat John Cena, and get number 15 around my waist. Now Jey Uso, he’s another guy, World Champion, he has proved himself, he is an amazing talent. The energy that you give him and the energy that he gives you, the Yeeting, the music, the entrance, the charisma. Everything about Jey just oozes talent. It’s a very hard question to answer, but if I’ve got to beat Jey or Cody, I’m gonna go ahead and call it Cody.” [7:40 – 8:48]
