Randy Orton

Randy Orton has revealed he’s coming to NXT as he names his opponent when the brand heads to his home state of Missouri.

NXT is heading to its new home of the CW Network on October 1st and WWE is loading up shows to take as many fans with them when the switch from USA takes place.

The first edition of NXT on the CW will see Giulia challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship and Ethan Page put his NXT Title on the line against Trick Williams. Page’s title defence will see CM Punk act as special guest referee in his home city of Chicago.

One week after that on October 8th, NXT rolls into St. Louis, Missouri and Randy Orton has confirmed he will be in action on that show.

Randy Orton Returns To NXT After 11 Years

The 17th of September edition of NXT saw Je’Von Evans looking to shoot his shot as he asked GM Ava for a match as part of the brand’s two-part debut on the CW. After that segment aired, Randy Orton took to social media to reveal that he’d give Evans what he wanted:

Hey Je’Von – Want to know who your opponent is? See you in St. Louis on October 8th kid #wwenxt

This will only be Randy Orton’s second match ever on NXT but you have to go back over a decade to find his only other bout on the show. Orton was part of the 27th of March 2013 edition of NXT when he defeated Damien Sandow.
