Randy Orton has added another feather to his hat.

On Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam, Orton entered a celebrity tag team match alongside Grammy-nominated rapper Jelly Roll to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.

While the outcome did not go in his favor, The Viper was already celebrating a unique feat.

It was Randy Orton’s 17th SummerSlam appearance since making his presence felt at the event for the first time in 2003.

In 2003, he competed in an Elimination Chamber match against five other competitors: Triple H, Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, and Kevin Nash.

Before Saturday, his appearance was tied at 16 with The Undertaker, who called the curtains on his wrestling career in 2020.

The tag team match witnessed high-intensity action but ended in a loss for Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.

Randy Orton’s Record Appearance Felt Underwhelming

Over the weeks, WWE had built the rivalry by involving the four wrestlers in constant face-offs.

One incident even saw McIntyre and Paul crashing a Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode hosted by Jelly with Orton as the guest. The episode ended with Jelly chokeslamming Paul through the host’s desk.

Unfortunately, WWE featured the Grammy-nominated star in the bout more than the 14-time world champion.

The Scottish Warrior and his partner isolated Jelly Roll, with Orton spending much of the time on the sidelines.

The match even featured a dangerous spot, where Logan Paul dove on Jelly Roll, crashing through the announcer’s desk by the ringside.

Triple H, meanwhile, has confirmed that Jelly Roll will return to WWE soon.
