Randy Orton Attacked In WWE Parking Lot

Randy Orton punching Kevin Owens

Following Kevin Owens’ brutal attack on Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood, Randy Orton has tried to act as a peacemaker but that all went very wrong.

Cody Rhodes stood tall at the end of WWE Bad Blood with Roman Reigns as they managed to pick up the win over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. The Rock soon confronted Rhodes and Reigns in his shock return to WWE but it seems, the scene was all too much for a man who counted himself as Rhodes’ friend.

After Bad Blood, Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot in a moment not filmed by WWE. Instead, footage filmed by fans went viral online with Triple H vowing to deal with the issue internally as it was played off as a real situation rather than a wrestling storyline.

Randy Orton Suffers Kevin Owens’ Wrath

On SmackDown in Greenville, Kevin Owens defied his suspension as a result of the attack to interrupt the Meta-Four’s entrance to try and have his say on the issue as he took exception to being labelled the bad guy. Cody Rhodes soon made his way to the ring ready to fight but officials and security did everything they could to keep them apart.

Randy Orton also made his way to the ring to try and talk to Owens but a heated KO caught The Viper in the head with an elbow. That led to Orton dropping Owens with a punch as temperatures continued to rise.

That decision proved to be a devastating one for Randy Orton as later in the night, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was forced to try and intervene as Kevin Owens laid out Orton in the parking lot.

Cody Rhodes already has his hands full as he will face Gunther at Crown Jewel for the newly-minted Crown Jewel Championship which pits the WWE Champion against the World Heavyweight Champion in Saudi Arabia.
