Rampage Is Currently ‘A High Priority’ For AEW
On the most recent episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator Jim Ross spoke about the late legendary Eddie Guerrero’s career, but Ross would also shed some light about the latest happenings going on in AEW and its Friday night program Rampage.
Talking about Vickie Guerrero being in AEW, Ross said:
“I get to see Vickie every week. She’s remarried. I’m happy for her. She’s just a sweetheart of a lady, but all of them (The Guerrero family) are just super people. Good experiences, good vibes from the Guerreros.”
Ross later added during his podcast:
“She became a beloved character in WWE just as she has become right now in AEW. I’m glad that we have her in our company because Vickie is mature. She’s remarried. She’s happy. She’s healthy. She gives a lot of counsel to the ladies of AEW and I really respect her for that. It’s tough counseling people who don’t understand the business as they will eventually. She’s just terrific in our company and I love her for that. She’s unselfish.”
J.R. also commented on his AEW Rampage commentator gig:
“Rampage is a high priority right now within the confines of AEW. We want to make this Friday night show good and build a loyal audience and I think we’re going to do that. I really do. I enjoy the opportunity. I did the show with Excalibur and Schiavone and I love it. Just loved it. We had so much fun. When you cut your roster of announcers down to three, everything becomes more manageable. You’re not driving in so much traffic. That was the goal there.”
