R-Truth’s Shocking Take On John Cena After WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Loss
R-Truth has made his real feelings known about John Cena.
The WWE veteran and the 17-time Champion clashed at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24.
The back-and-forth action in the match ultimately gave Cena the upper hand to beat Truth. However, it came with its fair share of drama.
In the dying minutes, Cena considered laying Truth out with the belt but decided against it, earning acknowledgement from the latter. Instead, he hit a low blow and pinned R-Truth for the win after an Attitude Adjustment.
Once the match ended, Cena struck Truth with the belt, as intended.
R-Truth Breaks His Silence About Post-SNME John Cena
In a video posted on WWE.com, R-Truth expressed his thoughts about the chain of events that occurred in the closing minutes.
I saw something in his eyes. He had an opportunity to take advantage of me, he didn’t do it, so he ain’t all the way gone? That’s my childhood hero, that’s my brother.
R-Truth also vowed to ‘bring Cena back’ before he ends his farewell tour.
I don’t think he really wants to ruin wrestling. This is more than a championship, this is a man’s career. This is professional wrestling’s legacy. I was that close, I was that close, and that’s the truth.
Cena wasn’t done after his match with Truth, making his presence felt during the main event between Jey Uso and Logan Paul. The show also witnessed the return of former Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes since losing to Cena at WrestleMania 41.
