WWE entered a partnership with Netflix at the beginning of last year, which saw them gain widespread popularity and bring a vast set of eyeballs to its product.

While fans across the globe now have access to WWE’s library on the streaming platform, they were also treated to one of the company’s best documentary series till now, WWE: Unreal.

The series dove behind the curtain in the promotion and offered the viewers an insight into how stories and matches are booked in the company. While many fans and wrestlers were skeptical of the series before it was released, it turned out to be a huge hit once it dropped on Netflix.

WWE: Unreal Season 2 is set to release later this month

Following the success of the first season, the promotion decided to release a second season of the series, which is set to come out later this month. One of the stories that will be covered during the season will be R-Truth’s release and subsequent rehiring.

The former United States Champion revealed how emotional it was for him to be part of Unreal season two during an interview with Stephen A. Smith. He even stated how happy he was to be part of this season during his chat.

My part is about when I got released. I think it’s the most — I haven’t even seen it yet, it’s very emotional for me. It’s when I got released, and got so much overwhelming amount of support from the people, the fans — I call them “family” now — that it’s just unreal. And this season, man, I’m happy to be a part of it. And if you haven’t seen it, you need to go see it,” Truth said. [H/T: 411Mania]

R-Truth returned to the company at Money in the Bank last year, where he cost John Cena and Logan Paul in their tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
