Promoter Slammed For Recently Declining Vince McMahon Deal
Not many believe that Vince McMahon will stay away from the limelight for much longer.
Speculations and rumors have already circulated that The Big Man is exploring options to acquire WWE from TKO. Although this may not be the case, the former WWE CEO has reportedly considered returning to the industry.
Recently, McMahon had approached Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship for a controlling share, but the deal fell through. David Feldman confirmed that the meeting did happen, but Vince McMahon was turned down due to the timing not being right.
JBL voiced his opinion about Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship turning down Vince McMahon
JBL and Conrad Thompson had a conversation on Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard. Thompson read out Feldman’s reasoning for turning down Vince McMahon, and JBL slammed him for doing so, and explained what Vince McMahon brought to the table.
First of all, what idiot would turn Vince McMahon down? And I mean that. The greatest promoter in the history of the promotion. This guy freaking blows PT Barnum away. And Vince wouldn’t;t like that analogy. That’s a compliment from me. Vince is a guy who took sports entertainment, he created sports entertainment and you have a chance for him to step in and help you with your company, I don’t get it. I don’t get it at all why anybody would turn Vince down.
Does he want creative control? I want him to have creative control. I want him to have control of everything. That’s what he does. He is one of the best operators in the history of entertainment. And the team he puts together? It’s shocking. People talk about being a one-man band? It wasn’t a one-man band. The reason Vince beat the territories was because Vince put together some of the great business minds into sports and into entertainment that help defeat. He was going against wrestling companies. That’s why Vince won.
It is yet to be known exactly what Vince McMahon’s new company will focus on; however, details revealed it would be inclined towards sports, media, and entertainment.
