Potential Spoiler Regarding Former Champion Returning On WWE SmackDown

Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen on WWE television since night one of WrestleMania 37. However, that could all be about to change.

According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Sasha Banks is set to make her long-awaited return to WWE.

The report notes that while there is no word on her role, it has been confirmed by multiple sources that the former Women’s Champion will be returning on SmackDown.

Johnson adds that although it was never officially confirmed, Banks has been filming material as Koska Reeves, her Star Wars character, for a future Disney+ Lucasfilm series. This comes after Banks made numerous appearances during the second series of The Mandalorian.

With Banks out the picture, Belair has gone on to feud with Bayley before recently locking horns with Carmella.

Despite Banks’ absence, both ‘The Boss’ and Belair have talked up the possibility of a rematch.

WWE has already seen the return of John Cena in recent weeks while rumours persist that Becky Lynch may also be in line for a return. ‘The Man’ has teased her WWE return on numerous occasions in recent months, including at Money In The Bank.

The SmackDown Women’s division is currently in something of a state of flux. While Toni Storm, Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox have arrived on the blue brand, it hasn’t all been good news. In the lead up to Money In The Bank, Bayley suffered a serious knee injury that will keep her out of action for around nine months.
