“Potential Plans” In Place For Big E’s WWE Return
Is Big E returning to the ring?
The popular star hasn’t wrestled since breaking his neck during a tag team match on the March 11th, 2022, episode of SmackDown. The longer his absence has gone, the more the star has urged caution regarding a comeback, however, that recently changed.
While giving an update to fans Big E said he’d be open to wrestling again, providing he gets positive results from a set of upcoming scans.
Meanwhile, on Raw, the star’s tag team partners Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have found themselves at odds in recent weeks. Woods has repeatedly lashed out at Kingston after they failed to win tag team gold, while there was a “heated exchange” backstage. But just as their relationship begins to fall apart, it seems plans are being tentatively put in place for a reunion with their absent friend E.
Big E Could Reunite The New Day
As talk of a return for the former World Champion gathers pace, it’s been reported by WRKD Wrestling that Xavier Woods’ teased heel turn could set up the crowd-pleasing comeback.
There are potential plans that Xavier Woods teased heel turn angle culminates in Big E reuniting the New Day, should E get cleared.
The careers of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E have been heavily intertwined since mid-2014. After joining forces the trio have worked to become one of the most successful tag teams of all time (in various guises) while Kingston and E won World Championship gold.
During a recent interview, Big E discussed the tension between Woods and Kingston, explaining that their relationships run deeper than wrestling.
