AEW got a whole lot nicer and even more evil on Dynamite as Orange Cassidy gave everyone a Thanksgiving surprise.

Danhausen was last seen in AEW back at Revolution 2023 where he teamed with Cassidy as part of a four-way match for the AEW Tag Team Championship. Orange Cassidy and Danhausen failed to win the match and worse news was to come as Danhausen revealed he tore his pec during the match.

On the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite in Chicago, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy teamed with HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata to take on the trio of Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Jake Hager. Before the match began, Cassidy welcomed Danhausen back much to the delight of the crowd and he cornered Cassidy’s team for the bout.

Vignettes had aired promoting Danhausen’s return to AEW in recent weeks and he was originally advertised as returning “next week” on the November 3 edition of Rampage but the return was held off until now.

What else happened on AEW Dynamite?

The Continental Classic kicked off in Chicago with all six men in the Gold League in action. Swerve Strickland continued his success from Full Gear as he defeated Jay Lethal. Jay White bounced back from his own Full Gear disappointment as he defeated Rush and Jon Moxley picked up an opening win over Mark Briscoe.

Christian Cage continued to tighten his grip around his Patriarchy as the TNT Champion gave Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus new names on the show.
