Positive Update on Dominik Mysterio Following Shoulder Injury Confirmation

Dominik Mysterio

A promising update has emerged amid concerns over Dominik Mysterio suffering an injury recently.

At Guerra de Titanes on December 20, “Dirty Dom” teamed up with El Grande Americano to face his father, Rey Mysterio, and Rey Fenix in a tag team match.

Earlier, Penta was supposed to partner with his brother Fenix, but an injury he suffered on the November 24 episode of WWE Raw forced him to miss the match, leading to him being replaced by the Hall of Famer.

The tag team match progressed swimmingly in the early minutes, with Dominik Mysterio getting a ton of cheap heat.

The 28-year-old finally clashed with his father, bringing the Mexico crowd to its feet. He would temporarily dominate the match, but during a spot involving Rey Mysterio, Dominik seemingly injured his arm.

For the remainder of the bout, he was unable to use it to great effect. He was subsequently pulled from a live event in Baltimore on December 29.

Dominik Mysterio Could Return Before Royal Rumble

After the match, reports stated that Dominik Mysterio had suffered a shoulder injury, which was addressed on the December 29 episode of Raw, too.

With the Royal Rumble scheduled for the first time in Saudi Arabia, some reports claimed that he could miss the event.

However, the latest update is much more positive.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Mysterio does not need a surgery and he could return to WWE before the Royal Rumble.
