Popular Star Appears To Take Shot At AEW And Tony Khan

One particular AEW star is not happy.

After months of uncertainty, it was reported on December 1st that Penta El Zero Miedo was now a free agent. The star, and his brother and tag team partner Rey Fenix, have been heavily linked with a move to WWE, but the path to the sports entertainment giant has been anything but straightforward.

While Penta has now been removed from the company roster page and is looking forward to his next challenge, Fenix isn’t going anywhere — at least for the time being.

It’s been widely reported that time has been added to Fenix’s contract, meaning he’s going to be All Elite for several more months. This is despite the company seemingly being content to let him sit at home. To hammer that point home, the star hasn’t wrestled on AEW television since July.

Rey Fenix Makes AEW Unhappiness Known

With his brother now a free agent and able to move on to the next stage of his career, Rey Fenix appeared to vent his frustration at the situation.

In a post on social media, Fenix appeared to suggest he’s been subject to “inhumane treatment.” Others have suggested he could be referencing the reasons behind Penta’s recent AEW departure.

No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.

In response to a fan who said what AEW and Tony Khan are doing to Fenix is “f*cking wrong,” the star replied:

I will have my chance to speak the truth.

Following his AEW exit, Penta made a surprise appearance for AAA on December 7th, cutting a promo for the crowd. The appearance was his first for the promotion since November 2023.
