Popular AEW Star’s Contract On Verge Of Expiring
Tony Khan is on the verge of losing another popular AEW star, with their deal said to be up in the very near future.
Tony Khan recently lost former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May to WWE. May had disappeared from AEW TV after her “Hollywood Ending” with Toni Storm, as it became clear that she saw her wrestling future elsewhere. Mariah May has now been given a new WWE name, following in the footsteps of other ex-AEW stars such as Ricky Saints and Lexis King.
Now it seems Tony Khan could lose another popular star, albeit one who has not been seen in the company for a very long time.
Danhausen On Verge Of AEW Exit
Fightful Select has reported that Danhausen’s AEW deal ends in July unless time is added to his contract. Considering his lack of creative plans in the company, that scenario is said to be unlikely.
Danhausen has not been seen in an AEW ring since Worlds End 2023, the same show that both Miro and Andrade El Idolo had their final AEW matches. He did, however, return at Ring of Honor Final Battle in December 2024, which had many thinking he’d be featured in creative plans, but the very evil star then disappeared without explanation once again.
Danhausen is said to have reached out to the company following his Final Battle appearance, only to be told that he was not needed. The star has kept up a consistent schedule on the independent scene during his AEW absence.
