Politician Begs WWE Boss Triple H For WrestleMania
Sadiq Khan has made a fresh WWE WrestleMania plea.
In April, a new government report reiterated that Mayor of London Sadiq Khan remains determined to bring WrestleMania to the English capital. Triple H and Nick Khan met with the Mayor for face-to-face talks in July 2024, but it seems no firm agreement was reached, or at least made public.
However, that doesn’t mean Khan is planning to give up.
In a new interview with CNBC, Khan made a fresh appeal to Triple H, urging him to take WrestleMania to London.
“I’d love for WrestleMania to come to London. Triple H if you’re watching, we want WrestleMania to come to London.”
Khan went on to suggest that a WrestleMania in London would “open a completely new market” for the company.
“If WrestleMania came to London… we wouldn’t just have a great weekend, we’d have a festival, of legends… current stars, but also future stars as well.” He added it would “open a completely new market for them…
If WrestleMania wants to expand, the obvious place to come is London.”
WWE WrestleMania 42 Heading To Las Vegas
With regard to the 2026 edition of the event, it’s been reported that an announcement is imminent, confirming that WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas. According to Bryan Alvarez, there were hurdles that needed to be cleared, which delayed an official announcement.
However, these issues have since been resolved.
WrestleMania 42 was due to be held in New Orleans, but WWE made the decision to move the event away from the city, with the promise of another edition of the spectacular in the future. It’s subsequently been announced that the city will host Money In The Bank 2026.
