Penta Receives Positive Update After WWE RAW Injury
Penta has received a positive update amid injury concerns.
On the November 24 episode of WWE RAW, the Mexican luchador faced Solo Sikoa in the quarterfinals of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament.
He was at his usual best, keeping control for the majority of the match. While wrestling outside the ring, the 40-year-old attempted a hurricarana but got injured in the process.
The ringside doctor checked on him, ultimately calling off the bout by injury stoppage. The situation looked grim, casting doubts about clearance for his upcoming matches.
Only a couple of days ago, Penta had reunited with his brother Rey Fenix to set up a tag match against Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano at Guerra de Titanes on December 20.
Following his injury, there were questions asked about whether he would be cleared in time for the high-profile match in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Recently, his physician, Dr. Odiseo, shared an update on Instagram that Penta was on the road to recovery, but also warned against complacency.
Penta Cleared For Wrestling But Awaits WWE’s Approval
The most recent update surrounding Penta is that he has been cleared for wrestling.
Despite the status, he must wait for official approval from WWE, which may or may not land in his favor.
The Mexican superstar has been one of the promotion’s top acquisitions, and the higher-ups would not want to risk exacerbating his shoulder injury.
His reunion with Rey Fenix comes after 16 months, after they last wrestled together while being signed to AEW.
They also compete on different brands, as Penta is on RAW, whereas Fenix is on SmackDown.

Whether or not WWE allows him to compete in the dream match is anybody’s guess.
