Penta Finally Makes Long-Awaited WWE Debut

Penta WWE

The worst kept secret in wrestling was finally revealed on WWE Raw as former AEW Tag Team Champion Penta arrived.

After months of speculation, the moment fans of Penta El Zero Miedo have been waiting for arrived on the January 13 edition of Raw as the Mexican star made his WWE debut.

It became clear during 2024 that Penta’s time in AEW was coming to an end as he disappeared from TV after the 19th of July edition of Rampage. Penta’s brother and tag team partner Rey Fenix has made clear he wants to leave AEW and at one point the two were expected to debut together in WWE. However, injuries have meant time has been added to Fenix’s AEW contract so he remains there for now.

A tag team match had been scheduled for the first Raw on Netflix pitting Rey Mysterio and an unnamed partner against The New Day. That match had been expected to be Penta’s debut but it didn’t end up happening. Instead, a match was set up between Chad Gable and an unnamed luchador for a week later.

Penta Brings Cero Miedo To WWE

Vignettes had teased Penta’s arrival in WWE and Triple H all but gave up the secret of the former AEW star’s arrival. If there was any doubt about Penta’s debut, it was gone hours before Raw when WWE went public with its merchandise for the star.

On Raw, Penta debuted and defeated Chad Gable with his Penta Driver. After the match, he took to the microphone and noted that it was not only a “Netflix new era” in WWE, it was also a “Penta new era.”
