Penta Accused Of Trying To End Ex-WWE Champion’s Life
Ex-WWE Champion Kofi Kingston makes a serious accusation against Penta.
On the August 18 episode of WWE Raw, Penta put Xavier Woods through his signature move, the Mexican Destroyer, during their singles match. He put Woods through another Mexican Destroyer again on the September 1 edition of Monday Night RAW during a six-man tag team match..
Woods complained about the severity of the maneuver, claiming that it nearly caused a serious neck injury. The New Day openly blamed WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce for allowing such dangerous maneuvers to continue in matches without being banned, accusing Pearce of risking his health. The controversy grew when Woods stated he had filed a formal complaint but was frustrated with WWE’s inaction.
Kofi Kingston Is Angry With Penta
In a follow-up match on the September 15 episode of WWE’s flagship show, Penta faced Kofi Kingston in a singles bout. During the match, the Mexican star delivered an impressive and brutal springboard Mexican Destroyer on Kingston. Kingston later accused Penta of trying to end his life with the dangerous move, highlighting the high-risk nature of the maneuver on his Instagram post. Kingston’s caption read:
