Paul Wight gave his thoughts on Vince McMahon’s reaction to AEW’s record-breaking success inside Wembley Stadium.

All Elite Wrestling is making history on August 27th when the company presents All In in front of a record-breaking crowd, beating out the all-time attendance record set by WWE at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas.

Speaking to Kenny McIntosh of Inside the Ropes, Paul Wight was asked his thoughts on Vince McMahon’s reaction to All Elite Wrestling’s success.

“I think he is pissed. I think he is absolutely pissed. But he is also the type of guy, ok, he likes competition, he likes the challenge. Vince is very much the land of the jungle type mentality. I think that Vince is a guy who thrives on competition, thrives on doing new things, and thrives on being the best in his mind at what he does. So when competition steps up, that fires up Vince more than anything.”

Paul Wight Believes Vince McMahon Needs Competition

Continuing, Wight explained that McMahon thrives on competition as it requires him to up his game when it comes to the WWE product.

“The worst thing that can happen to Vince is to be bored and be monotonous. If he’s got competition then it fires him up to be better, which is a win for the fans, because they will get a better competition and we will produce a better product so it’s good too.”

Though Wight has confirmed he’s in London to be part of the AEW All In pre-show panel, he’s also dropped hints that his alter-ego Captain Insano could make a surprise appearance inside Wembley Stadium.
