Paul Heyman Responds To Travis Scott’s WWE Backstage Heat Rumors
Paul Heyman has given his version of events regarding Travis Scott’s apparent fallout with WWE.
At Elimination Chamber, John Cena shocked the world when he turned heel on Cody Rhodes and led an attack on Rhodes, supported by both The Rock and rap star, Travis Scott. And that was about as good as Cena’s heel turn got in his final year as a WWE Superstar.
Travis Scott made a very slow walk to the ring at WrestleMania 41 to help Cena win the WWE Championship from Rhodes, and then he was done and has yet to be seen again in WWE. There have been suggestions of a major fallout between Scott and WWE, but Paul Heyman always got along with the star.
Paul Heyman Unsure If Travis Scott Is Done With WWE
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul Heyman was asked if there was ever meant to be a payoff to The Rock and Travis Scott’s involvement in Cena’s heel turn, and he confirmed there was, but it fell apart:
There was. It fell apart and we moved forward without it.
As far as rumours regarding Travis Scott having heat backstage in WWE, Heyman noted that he hadn’t heard Scott’s side of the story but had heard the same rumours:
I don’t know if he’s done. Any meeting that I was in that involved Travis Scott, I got along with him fine. Have I heard things? I have. Do I know the accuracy of it? Haven’t heard Travis’ version of it. Like his music, like his taste in women that he has children with, wish I was dating one of those sisters. I’m not, he was married to one. He’s doing better in his personal life than I am.
