Paul Heyman On The Rock’s WWE Situation: “I Don’t Know What Happened”

The Rock at WWE Elimination Chamber

Paul Heyman has weighed in on The Rock’s status with WWE and admits he doesn’t know the full story of what’s going on.

The Rock was last seen in WWE back at Elimination Chamber, where he dished out a vicious beating to Cody Rhodes alongside John Cena and Travis Scott. Cena had just turned heel, aligning himself with The Final Boss, or so it seemed at the time.

At WrestleMania 41, it was Travis Scott who appeared to help John Cena defeat Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, but The Rock was nowhere to be seen. He was entirely absent from Cena’s entire heel run, and Cena referenced that when he cemented his babyface turn before he faced Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

Uncertainty Over The Rock’s WWE Absence

Paul Heyman is one man who has the inside track when it comes to the goings on in WWE, but as far as The Rock is concerned, even The Oracle doesn’t know what went wrong.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul Heyman explained that he simply doesn’t know why The Rock hasn’t been back in WWE and admits he had enough going on at WrestleMania to worry about Cody Rhodes and John Cena’s match:

I don’t know what happened with Dwayne. That’s something you should have Dwayne come into these beautiful Yahoo studios and answer for himself. I don’t know. Or have Brian Gerwitz come in and I’m sure he can tell you their side of the story, I don’t know. Especially WrestleMania, I had enough on my plate, I wasn’t really concerned with what happened with Cody Rhodes and John Cena’s storyline.
