Paul Heyman Drops Shocking Statement On Seth Rollins’ SummerSlam Cash-In

Seth Rollins is the new World Heavyweight Champion.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury during a match with LA Knight, throwing WWE into chaos. Or at least that’s what he wanted people to think.

In the weeks that followed, Rollins played up the injury, suggesting he’d be out for a long time.

However, at SummerSlam, that claim was shown to be nothing more than a lie as Rollins threw down his crutches and knee brace before cashing in his Money In The Bank contract to beat CM Punk and claim the World Heavyweight Championship.

A tearful Punk had only held the title for a matter of minutes after beating Gunther in the main event.

Paul Heyman Delighted With Seth Rollins Ruse

In a post on social media, Paul Heyman celebrated the star to find World Championship success under his guidance. He mocked Triple H’s tradition of posing for photos with new champions backstage, adding that Rollins’ deception had been his “Plan B.”

It wasn’t all fun for the group, however, as Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker began the show with defeat to Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch was also revelling in Seth Rollins’ victory after playing her own role in the ruse. In the weeks between Saturday Night’s Main Event and SummerSlam, Lynch shared a video on her social media of Rollins on crutches wearing a heavy knee brace.

With cameras recording her reaction to Rollins’ cash-in, she told fans not to believe everything they see on the internet.
