Paul Heyman Says Rhea Ripley Will Headline WrestleMania On One Condition

Paul Heyman has named three stars to take WWE forward.

Several of WWE’s biggest names have made no secret that they are looking to leave the company either through retirement or in search of a new challenge in the coming years.

At least in theory, this would leave several spots at the top of the card up for grabs, so who’s up next?

During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Paul Heyman discussed the future of WWE and named three stars he believes will headline multiple WrestleManias. He quickly named Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu as ones to watch before throwing Rhea Ripley into he mix.

However, he suggested Ripley’s future success will depend on her opponents.

“Bron Breakker and I are on camera together because I was working so closely with him behind the scenes. Because I truly believe that’s the future of our company, that’s a guaranteed WrestleMania main eventer multiple times in the future.

Jacob Fatu, a guaranteed WrestleMania main eventer multiple times in the future. I can say the same thing [about] Rhea Ripley, a guaranteed WrestleMania main eventer multiple times in the future if we find the right story and the right opponent for her in that capacity.”

The comments from Heyman back up a recent report that claimed WWE is working to position Bron Breakker, Rhea Ripley, and Jacob Fatu as the future of the company.

Paul Heyman Defends Brock Lesnar’s Controversial WWE Comeback

During the same interview, Paul Heyman launched a staunch defence of Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE. Lesnar made his surprise comeback in the minutes after John Cena lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

In the seconds before the show went off the air, Lesnar attacked Cena, leaving him broken in the ring.

Lesnar had been absent from WWE for two years after he was implicated in Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis. According to the suit, McMahon offered Lesnar sexual encounters with Grant in an effort to get him to sign a new contract.

It should be noted that although Lesnar is named in the lawsuit, he isn’t a defendant.

In reponse to the wave of criticism aimed at WWE for bringing back Lesnar, Heyman bluntly told fans to “get over it.”
