Paul Heyman Compared To Martin Scorsese By Major WWE Star

Paul Heyman’s work behind the scenes in WWE has been praised by a wrestler he has worked with many times.

The 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony celebrated Paul Heyman’s incredible 30+ year career in pro wrestling. Heyman has been in many roles in pro wrestling starting out as a photographer, then becoming a manager, a booker/owner of ECW, and a member of WWE”s creative team.

Over the last 20+ years, Heyman has also been an on-screen advocate (he doesn’t like saying manager) and most recently as the “Wise Man” special counsel of Roman Reigns for nearly four years. Behind the scenes, Heyman also plays a role in advising young talent and top stars while also assisting in any way that’s needed.

When Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had a memorable WWE Smackdown segment at Georgia Tech University, Paul Heyman was credited for directing the talent and being intricately involved behind the scenes.

Cody Rhodes Feels Like Paul Heyman Is Martin Scorsese For WWE

During an interview with Fox 57 News, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes compared Heyman to legendary film director Martin Scorsese in terms of Heyman’s impact on the WWE product. Cody was specifically talking about The Bloodline story when talking about Heyman’s role.

“I’d say from kind of the more behind-the-curtain aspect that when all is said and done and people look at how unbelievable that story has been over the years. What it’s done for WWE and WWE’s business, Mr. Paul Heyman should probably be considered kind of the Martin Scorsese behind it all.”

“He’s really a fascinating unique individual and has a sense of what the audience may want and they don’t even know they want it. Just super genius.”

Paul Heyman is enjoying his time in WWE right now since he recently praised Paul “Triple H” Levesque for being an incredible collaborator who loves to hear different ideas and implement those ideas into the WWE product.
