“To The Ovaries” – Becky Lynch Legitimately Hurt Top WWE Star
A legendary WWE superstar recalled the time when a move by Becky Lynch in a big match caused some severe damage.
The rivalry between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch produced some incredible matches that saw two WWE’s greatest women superstars put their bodies on the line to entertain the fans as best they could.
At the December 2018 Tables, Ladders & Chairs PLE, Becky Lynch headlined the show along with Charlotte Flair and Asuka in the first-ever women’s TLC Match. Lynch’s SmackDown Women’s Title was on the line in the match.
That match is one of the best women’s matches of the decade and may be underappreciated by some fans since the TLC PLE isn’t as celebrated as other major WWE shows.
During the match, there was a spot where Lynch jumped off a ladder to put Flair and Asuka through a commentary table. Asuka moved out of the way, so Flair took the bump as Lynch’s body hit Flair’s midsection and broke the table. Flair was writhing in pain while shouting, “Oh God,” and holding her ribs.
Charlotte Flair Was In Serious Pain After TLC Table Spot With Becky Lynch
While appearing on the Trading Secrets podcast, Charlotte Flair recalled the pain she felt when Becky Lynch put her through that table in the TLC 2018 main event. It came up when talking about tables.
“Or if they don’t break. That’s the problem. They all feel different, but Becky did a leg drop off the top of the ladder onto my ovaries. On the commentary table for Evolution… that had to have been… Oh sorry, it was not Evolution, it was TLC. Me vs Asuka vs Becky.
I could not breathe. I was like, I could not catch my breath. She did not mean to or anything like that, but that was probably the worst bump I have ever taken. To the ovaries. It was just like my lower. I was like, ‘Oh Gosh.'”
The reason Flair likely said Evolution is because at the Evolution 2018 PLE, Lynch and Flair did a similar spot with Lynch putting her through the table after jumping off a ladder.
If you’re wondering, Asuka won the TLC match thanks to Ronda Rousey costing Flair and Lynch the match. That would help set them on the road to WrestleMania 35, where Lynch beat Flair and Rousey in the main event.
