An Oscar-winning actor has confirmed their attendance at WWE SummerSlam.

This year, WWE SummerSlam will undergo a massive change as it joins WrestleMania and becomes a two-night event. The Biggest Party of the Summer will take place on Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

While there are still four months to go before the annual spectacular, actor Kieran Culkin has confirmed his plans to go to the event. Culkin is a known wrestling fan and attended various WWE shows in the past, most recently being seen at Raw’s Netflix Premiere back in January.

During an appearance on the Mark It Down podcast, Culkin was asked if he would be attending WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas on Easter weekend. The star said he couldn’t as he would be performing Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway, but said he would be at SummerSlam.

“I’m going to go to that.”

After gaining fame as a child star in the 1990s alongside his brother, Macauley, Kieran Culkin took a break from acting. He has recently had a career resurgence due to his starring role in the hit HBO show, Succession, for which he won three Emmy awards and four Golden Globes. In 2025, the star won multiple awards, including an Oscar, for his supporting role in the Jesse Eisenberg-helmed comedy-drama A Real Pain.

WWE Received Big Money To Host SummerSlam In New Jersey

Ahead of the official announcement, it was reported that the New Jersey Sports and Expositions Authority allocated over $7 million to securing SummerSlam. The money was said to be part of the federal government’s American Rescue Plan given to the state during the pandemic. It was to be used to “respond to the negative economic impacts of the public health emergency by providing aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel and hospitality.”
