Orange Cassidy Refuses To Be AEW Leader

Orange Cassidy AEW

AEW desperately needs a leader to counter the vicious Blackpool Combat Club but Orange Cassidy has ruled himself out.

Jon Moxley led a vicious betrayal of Bryan Danielson at All Out where Moxley tried to suffocate the American Dragon with a plastic bag. The new look BCC of Moxley, Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC were united in their mission while Wheeler Yuta remained an ally of his mentor.

At WrestleDream, Jon Moxley ended the full-time career of Bryan Danielson when he defeated him for the AEW World Title and after the match, the group was not content with just winning the gold. Moxley led another assault but was held off by Darby Allin and Wheeler Yuta before Yuta turned on Allin and was the one to place the bag over Danielson’s head this time.

Now the BCC are on a tear, taking out everyone in their path as they look to impose their own ideals on AEW. The Elite recently walked away from a BCC attack to live to fight another day which only caused anger as they were confronted by Daniel Garcia and Private Party about their lack of action.

Orange Cassidy Won’t Step Up Against BCC

On the 19th of October edition of Collision, Garcia and Private Party went looking for a leader as he spoke to former AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. Cassidy, however, wanted no part of the situation admitting when he shared the ring with the BCC it changed him as he added “I’m no leader, I’m just not that guy.”

AEW coach Jerry Lynn recently made a rare on-screen appearance in the company as he told Orange Cassidy he should step up as he sought to instil confidence in Cassidy to go for bigger and better things.
