Orange Cassidy Makes Bold Call About AEW Women’s Division
Orange Cassidy is full of praise for AEW.
After coming in for a great deal of criticism for the treatment of its women’s division, AEW has been determined to turn things around in 2024.
This has seen the company land the signing of Mercedes Mone, and the story between Toni Storm and Mariah May in particular was widely praised. Meanwhile, the Street Fight between Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale at All Out has been described as the best women’s match in North America in 2024.
Furthermore, the division has been boosted by the return from injury of Jamie Hayter who had been injured for over a year.
Orange Cassidy Says The AEW Women’s Division Is The Best Ever
During an appearance on the Barstool Sports’ Rasslin podcast, Orange Cassidy had huge praise for the AEW women’s division.
“I also think AEW right now probably has the best women’s division ever assembled,”
Later in the interview, Cassidy highlighted several performers who have taken the division to new heights.
“I feel very strongly about that. I mean, we’re talking Jamie Hayter just came back and we all know how great Jamie Hayter is. We have Mercedes (Mone) here, CEO, doing that dance that we all try to do, but we can’t do it as good as her.”
“And then you also have my former friend, who punched me in the face and stabbed me in the back, Kris Statlander. I think she’s a phenomenal professional wrestler. Willow actually—well, this is going to come out after, but I’m looking forward to the street fight between Willow and Kris at All Out.”
“And then Anna Jay just went to Stardom and she’s going to come back, already from the stuff I’ve seen, she’s coming back stronger than ever.”
The comments come after Paul Heyman claimed the WWE women’s roster was the greatest in history.
