Only One WWE SmackDown Star On Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre’s Level

Drew McIntyre Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will have a championship match in Berlin on January 9th, 2026, in a Three Stages of Hell match.

The rivalry between The American Nightmare and The Scottish Warrior has been going on for a while, and finally, McIntyre got the match he has been hunting for.

However, Cody Rhodes will need to ensure he does not lay a finger on Drew McIntyre before the match. If he does, he will be stripped of the Undisputed WWE Championship.

The question remains, once this feud is over, who will either of them face next?

Only one man can replace Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre

On The Coach and Bro, Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo discussed the SmackDown roster. During that conversation, the topic of which superstars can replace either Rhodes or McIntyre in the feud came up.

Coachman revealed that there was only one person who could, and Vince Russo immediately agreed: Solo Sikoa.

So, how many people legitimately are on the level of Cody and Drew that you could take Drew out and put somebody else in? So, I watched the last two SmackDowns. All of them straight through. I came up with one person that’s on the show right now on SmackDown. Well, sort of
Solo [Sikoa]. That’s it.

Whether or not WWE will give a chance to Solo Sikoa depends on how creative unfolds after McIntyre vs. Rhodes is over.
