Omos Reunites With Family In Nigeria For First Time In 14 Years (VIDEO)
Fresh off his appearance at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Omos has surprised his family in Nigeria as he sees them for the first time in 14 years.
At Crown Jewel Omos tangled with The Monster Of All Monsters Braun Strowman in a bout that was billed as a ‘battle of the giants.’ Despite the Nigerian’s star height advantage, he was unable to cope with the power of Strowman with the former Universal Champion picking up the win with a running powerslam.
For Omos though there were happier times right around the corner as TMZ shared a video of the star reuniting with family in his native Nigeria. There were tears and laughter with plenty of cameras on hand to document the emotional reunion.
Omos’ family emigrated to the United States and he attended school and college in his new homeland, picking up the sport of basketball which he played for the University of South Florida. He was signed to WWE in early 2019 and began competing on live shows for the NXT brand later that year.
The giant star was the bodyguard and doorman for Shane McMahon in the quickly abandoned Raw Underground segments. Omos re-emerged in late 2020 by the side of AJ Styles and he made his televised WWE debut at WrestleMania 37 where he and Styles captured the Raw Tag Team Championship.
WWE is looking for their next African star with the company announcing they will hold tryouts in Lagos, Nigeria in early 2023.
