“Oh, I Meant It” – Jim Ross Doubles Down On Heated John Laurinaitis Remarks

AEW announcer Jim Ross has doubled down on recent comments made about former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis losing his job.

John Laurinaitis was released by WWE on 8th August 2022 as part of the investigation into alleged misconduct which also saw Vince McMahon eventually step down as Chairman of the company.

Laurinaitis originally joined WWE after the company’s purchase of WCW in 2001 and was quickly moved into the role of Director Of Talent Relations. He held a number of similar positions within the company throughout his time there, as well as taking on a number of on-screen roles.

In a discussion on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross noted how he wasn’t treated well by Laurinaitis after he was hired, as he wanted to constantly show himself off to Vince McMahon and thinks that if Laurinaitis is living in misery, it’s very much deserved:

“I had a hard time as time went on trusting Laurinaitis. That’s sad to say. I hired him. I gave him a job when he needed it. I don’t think he treated me quite right. He just wanted to show Vince that he was a better manager than JR and all these things. So now his ass is without a job and he deserves the Goddamn misery that he’s living, that I perceive that he’s living, and I didn’t like how he treated me.”

Now in a clip shared by AdFreeShows on social media from the most recent Grilling JR podcast, Ross doubled down on the comments saying “Oh, I meant it.”
