Oba Femi To Team With WWE Legends
Oba Femi will fight alongside WWE tag team royalty.
On the February 20 episode of Impact, JDC defeated Leon Slater in a No Disqualification Match, but that was only part of the story.
That victory came via help from Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers, and after the final bell, the pair were joined by System leader Moose to continue the attack. However, the group was interrupted by TNA Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy who appeared from nowhere. With the numbers not quite equal, NXT Champion Oba Femi arrived in the ring as The System quickly made their exit.
As the group complained to Santino Marella backstage it was announced that Moose, Edwards, and Myers would face Oba Femi and The Hardys on February 27.
The shock appearance came after Oba Femi was confronted by Moose on the February 18 edition of NXT. Moose told the NXT Champion that he was the only man he wasn’t able to rule over, describing a match between the pair as inevitable.
Also on Impact, former WWE star Elias made his debut with TNA Wrestling by teaming with World Champion Joe Hendry.
The Hardys Heading Home To WWE
It’s been announced that Matt and Jeff Hardy will officially return to WWE on February 25. Also on February 18, the tag team legends appeared in a video package where they accepted a challenge from No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne.
Despite being under contract with TNA, The Hardys have made no secret of their desire to eventually return to WWE and be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The pair last wrestled as a team in a WWE ring back in April 2019 during a short run as SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
