Oba Femi Defending NXT Title Against WWE Rookie

Oba Femi is willing to put his NXT Title on the line against all challengers, and one WWE rookie is taking full advantage.

Back in December 2024, it was announced by WWE and A&E that a new competition series called “WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats)” would feature in-ring matches and training of young talent looking to earn a WWE contract.

On the May 18 edition of WWE LFG, Tyra Mae Steele and Jasper Troy were named as the winners of season one, supposedly earning them both an NXT contract. The reality is that all participants are currently signed to WWE and train at the Performance Center.

Tyra Mae Steele made her TV debut on the NXT brand on the June 3rd edition of the show, but Jasper Troy also made his presence felt.

Jasper Troy Gets His Shot At Oba Femi

It was confirmed on the show that Troy would challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship on the June 10th edition of the brand’s weekly show.

That won’t be the only title match featured as the winner of the NXT North American Championship fatal four-way at Worlds Collide will defend their gold against Sean Legacy. The Culling will also be in tag team action as will Tony D’Angelo and Luca Crusifino as they take on Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe.
