New NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender Revealed
The card for NXT Halloween Havoc 2025 is coming together.
2025 has been the most successful year of Jacy Jayne’s career as a singles star, but it recently looked as though that momentum had come to a halt.
At a live event in Columbus, Ohio, the star teamed with Fallon Henley to take on Sol Ruca and Zaria, but she wouldn’t see the end of the match. During the action, Jayne appeared to injure her quad and quickly tagged out before being treated at ringside and helped backstage by medical personnel.
However, it seems things might be as bad as they first appeared.
Jacy Jayne Gets New NXT Challenger
On the October 14 edition of NXT, a 20-woman Battle Royal was held to decide a new number one contender for the Women’s Championship. The match was ultimately won by Tatum Paxley, who celebrated with Lyra Valkyria as Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence looked on.
Meanwhile, it’s also been announced that Ricky Saints will defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams. On the same show, Saints called out Williams for walking out during the main event a week earlier when the pair teamed with Myles Borne and Je’Von Evans to face Team TNA.
After initially dismissing Saints via video, Williams attacked his rival backstage. The pair will now come face to face on October 21 for a contract signing.
