A rising star on WWE’s NXT brand is looking forward to a run on the main roster.

The WWE NXT New Year’s Evil episode to start the new year was full of big moments. Oba Femi won the NXT Championship from Trick Williams in a match that also featured Eddy Thorpe while Lexis King captured the Heritage Cup from Charlie Dempsey in a controversial match.

Meanwhile, The Rock was featured in the main event while cursing up a storm and it led to the highest television audience for the brand in over five years.

Giulia also made headlines because she beat Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title in the opening match on the show. It was a huge victory since Perez’s title reign lasted over 276 days.

NXT Women’s Champion Giulia Wants Run On WWE Main Roster

Regarding her future plans in WWE, Giulia told Tokyo Sports that while she is happy to be a champion in NXT, she also wants to be on the main roster competing against the top women’s superstars on Raw and Smackdown.

“I got the singles championship belt, and singles matches are important to express my fighting style. The NXT Women’s Championship is NXT’s flagship title. With that in mind, I want to adjust the wrestling style I’ve been doing in Japan and express my fighting style and wrestling style. The championship belt is a ticket to fight various wrestlers, and I want to have amazing matches with many wrestlers that go beyond the limits of wrestling.

Another big goal is to get on the main roster (Raw, SmackDown) as soon as possible.”

Giulia has yet to compete in a match on the main roster in WWE, but with the Royal Rumble coming up on February 1st in Indianapolis, it’s possible that her first main roster match could come at that event.
