NXT Tag Team Mock CM Punk’s Media Scrum Rant
A current NXT pairing has hilariously taken shots at CM Punk, mocking his outburst during the AEW All Out 2022 media scrum!
On NXT, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade are an established pairing in the vast tag team division. Though often losing to higher-ranking tandems, Enofe and Blake have shown great charisma and agility throughout their time together.
That charisma has carried over to their YouTube channel, where they’ve recently began hosting their Black Table Talk show. In the latest edition, the NXT Superstars made reference to CM Punk’s rant during the AEW All Out media scrum, directly referring to his comments regarding former tag team partner Colt Cabana:
[Enofe] “@maxojean9 asks, ‘Will you try to win a championship?’ Will you try to win some b*tches!? They’re acting like we’re sitting here not trying to win sh*t. That’s what they’re acting like [Enofe laughed]. You probably share a bank account with your mom, all right. I’m sorry if I’m coming off a little bit snippy. I’m old, I’m young and I’m f*cking tired.”
Edris Enofe was shown wearing a towel around his neck and eating a sweet, as CM Punk was during the media scrum, while Malik Blade mocked Tony Khan’s water drinking from the event.
Having been a regular pairing in NXT for the duration of 2022, Enofe and Blade got off to a hot start with wins over Harland and Joe Gacy, and Legado Del Fantasma. Now, they’re traditionally used to put over other pairings, most recently losing to The Dyad’s Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler on NXT’s 20 September broadcast.
