NXT Stars In Town For WWE SmackDown

Two NXT stars could be about to land a spot on WWE SmackDown.

On December 15th, WWE SmackDown heads to Green Bay, Wisconsin as the company begins to really build to the Royal Rumble. While the show will feature several of WWE’s biggest stars, the episode could also see appearances from a couple of potential stars of the future.

It’s been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that both Axiom and Gable Steveson are in town for the taping. Axiom recently appeared on the blue brand, losing out to Dragon Lee on November 17th.

Meanwhile, Gable Steveson has been missing from WWE television for several months. The star hasn’t been seen since facing Baron Corbin at the Great American Bash back in July, although he’s wrestled on NXT live events in recent weeks. Steveson’s most recent match came on December 2nd against Brooks Jenson.

Roman Reigns Returning To WWE SmackDown

The December 15th episode will see the return of Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief has been absent since overcoming LA Knight at Crown Jewel back in November. It’s believed that Reigns’ appearance will help set up his next rivalry for the Royal Rumble with Randy Orton.

Elsewhere, the tournament to decide a new number-one contender for the United States Titles continues with Grayson Waller taking on Carmelo Hayes and Kevin Owens looking to get the better of Austin Theory.
