One NXT star is heading for the exit in WWE as Sarray has revealed that she will be returning to Japan when her contract expires.

Sarray signed on with WWE back in 2020 but her debut in the company was delayed for a year due to the pandemic. The Japanese star eventually made her first in-ring appearance on the 20th of April 2021 edition of NXT television defeating Zoey Stark.

She remained a fixture on the brand throughout the year and even following the short-lived re-brand to ‘NXT 2.0’ but that came with a character change as her appearance altered thanks to a medallion given to her by her grandmother. However, her last match came in August 2022 when she lost to Mandy Rose.

Now Tokyo Sports has reported that Sarray will be leaving WWE when her contract with the company expires. A press conference will be held on March 13th where she will discuss her future plans but her first match in her post-WWE career has already been announced.

Sarray – who is known as Sareee in Japan – will compete on a show entitled Sareee-ISM on May 16th at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo, Japan. It is not known yet who her opponent will be or where her long-term future lies.
