Not Just Injury Issues Behind WWE Double Title Switch

Stephanie Vaquer Double WWE Champion

Stephanie Vaquer is now a double champion in WWE but it seems injuries are not the only reason the big title switch was made.

Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer both made a splash when they joined WWE, instantly bolstering the NXT women’s division. Giulia captured the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil on the same night that Stephanie Vaquer became the number one contender for the NXT Women’s North American Title.

Vaquer captured that gold at Vengeance Day and soon it seemed she and Giulia were on a collision course but it came a lot sooner than expected.

Giulia laid down the challenge for a title vs. title match at NXT Roadblock as reports suggested one of the champions was injured which is why the match had to take place.

Giulia Dealing With More Than Injury After WWE Title Loss

At NXT Roadblock, Stephanie Vaquer picked up the win to become a double champion in WWE but it seems there is more to the situation than just an injury suffered by Giulia.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that there is more than the injury issue Giulia is dealing with as there is a small matter with her visa to be dealt with as well:

Giulia, there are two things going. There is some minor, I was told, visa issue. And there is also an injury, which is listed internally as quote, undisclosed. She sure didn’t work like she was hurt.

It remains to be seen how long Giulia will be forced to miss from the NXT ring due to her issues.
