Despite recent speculation, The Street Profits are expected to remain in WWE.

In recent weeks, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been vocal about their frustrations with their current position in WWE. While the team is popular with fans, it hasn’t translated into in-ring success, with The Street Profits having not held any gold in four years.

Ahead of their WWE Tag Team Championship shot against the Motor City Machine Guns on the November 15th edition of SmackDown, Angelo Dawkins said he was “p*ssed off” about the team’s recent struggles, and went as far to say that for them, it was “championships or bust.” Unfortunately, during the match another team got in the way of their goal, with Tommaso Ciampa of DIY shoving Ford off the top rope to cause a disqualification.

After the bout, Ciampa continued his attack until his partner, Johnny Gargano came to the ring to calm him down. MCMG picked up Ford and Dawkins, saying the chaos was nothing to do with them, but an irate Dawkins punched Alex Shelley in the jaw before leaving.

The Street Profits Not Leaving WWE

Since the high-profile loss, fans have wondered what the future holds for The Street Profits, with many speculating that they will leave WWE altogether. However, a new report from PWInsider has given some clarification on their status.

According to their report, both team members are “locked into deals” with WWE, and their recent statements were made to “garner attention” on the duo. The company does not believe either Dawkins or Ford will depart.

It also noted that Ford has been working on outside projects recently, having become the latest member of the roster to sign with the Paradigm talent agency as part of their sports division.
