NJPW Star To Wrestle 5 Times In Bizarre One-Night Event
NJPW star Taiji Ishimori is planning to get ridiculous.
Ishimori is out to prove he’s superhuman when he hosts his own show on November 12th in Tokyo’s Shinjuku FACE. According to NJPW, the event, titled ‘Superhuman Taiji Ishimori Gets Ridiculous,’ will see the three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion wrestle five times throughout the evening. However, most of the card is being kept under wraps until the night of the show.
The only announced bout will see Ishimori team up with House of Torture’s SHO and Dragongate star Shun Skywalker to take on New Japan’s World TV Champion Jeff Cobb, BJW’s Dauisuke Sekimoto, and Shuji Ishikawa.
“On November 12, Taiji Ishimori will produce and present his own card in Shinjuku FACE!
Entitled “Superhuman Taiji Ishimori Gets Ridiculous”, a random drawing has determined that Ishimori will wrestle five times over the course of the evening! While the remainder of the card and the match order is a mystery, his first matchup top be announced will give an idea of just what to expect on this unique presentation
Ishimori will team with HOUSE OF TORTURE’s SHO, and DRAGONGATE rabble rouser Shun Skywalker to face a team of brutal hard hitting heavyweights in the current NJPW World TV Champion Jeff Cobb, BJW’s Daisuke Sekimoto and famed and feared freelancer Shuji Ishikawa.
Only 15 minutes are on the clock for what should be an intense openweight game of cat and mouse.What else will happen on this special event November 12?”
The event comes on the heels of El Desperado holding a similar ‘Invitacional’ back in June. On that show, Desperado took part in two tag matches but lost both. Whether Ishimori can do any better than his rival remains to be seen.
Former NJPW Star Expected In WWE NXT
It was reported back in July that WWE had signed New Japan star Hikuleo, with it widely being expected the would join his older brother, Tama Tonga, in The Bloodline. However, it has now been reported that Hikuleo will in fact WWE join as part of the NXT roster.
