NJPW Confirms New Wrestle Kingdom Title Match
The IWGP Women’s Title will be on the line at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19.
At NJPW & Stardom’s Historic X-Over, Mayu Iwatani successfully defended her IWGP Women’s Title against Momo Watanabe.
After the match, Iwatani said she wanted a match at Wrestle Kingdom and this brought out AZM. Her rival had already enjoyed a successful night after teaming with Mei Seira & Miyu Amasaki to defeat Konami, Rina & Ruaka.
AZM already has a win over Iwatani in 2024, defeating the champion back in August.
Iwatani has held the IWGP Women’s Title since April 23rd, 2023 when she defeated AEW star Mercedes Mone.
