NJPW Champion Making AEW Debut Before Forbidden Door

A top NJPW star will be warming up on AEW Collision.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Stephanie Vaquer will meet Mercedes Mone with all of the gold on the line. Vaquer is the current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion while Mone holds AEWs TBS Title.

Mone famously broke her ankle in the finals of the tournament to crown the first-ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion in May 2023, losing to Willow Nightingale.

After Vaquer successfully defended her title against Catalina at CMLL’s Fantasticamania event on June 21st, she ended up in a brawl with Mone who arrived to confront the star.

Ahead of the clash, it’s been announced on social media by Tony Khan that Vaquer will take on Lady Frost on Collision.
