NJPW Star Blasts Bullet Club – “Obsessed With Selling T-Shirts”

NJPW Bullet Club

David Finlay is the rebel now in charge of Bullet Club and he vows that the NJPW stable will be the most ruthless version of itself ever and takes a shot at previous incarnations of the faction.

In February 2023, Finlay attacked his long-time rival Jay White as White was on his way out of New Japan Pro Wrestling and assumed control of the ten-year-old group and it seems that the fourth-generation star has big plans to continue to grow its legacy.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, David Finlay says the group lost sight of what it was about and instead became obsessed with selling t-shirts:

“We lost sight of what Bullet Club is designed to do. We became obsessed with selling T-shirts. That isn’t our intent. Bullet Club is here to disrupt and destroy. This is my Bullet Club. It’s going to be the most violent, ruthless version, and it’s going to be defined by blood and championship gold.”

Finlay also took issue with Juice Robinson and Jay White’s assertion that they are Bullet Club Gold in AEW and says the breakaway group is not recognized by him:

“Juice and Jay, whatever they’re doing in AEW, I don’t know what that is. Make no mistake—they are not part of the real Bullet Club.”

Jay White picked up a big win over the newest AEW signing Komander on Dynamite although the issues between BC Gold, Ricky Starks, and Shawn Spears continued.
