Nikki Bella Opens Up About “Lonely” WWE Run

Nikki Bella knows exactly how she wants to end her WWE career.

WWE legend Nikki Bella made a surprise return to television back in January when Raw debuted on Netflix. She followed that up by making an in-ring comeback as part of the women’s Royal Rumble match.

After stating that her comeback wasn’t a one-off, Bella has been a regular on Raw through the second half of the year and challenged Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Paris.

More recently, Bella turned heel by attacking her friend and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. It’s since been announced that the pair will meet at Survivor Series with the gold on the line.

Nikki Bella Reflects On Legacy

However, during the latest episode of ESPN Get Up, Bella discussed her comeback and admitted that in some ways it’s bittersweet. She explained that while it’s undoubtedly been productive, she wishes her sister could be there with her.

“It’s actually been quite lonely. We both have had our different runs where we’ve been solo, but I think coming into this now as a mom and I feel like I have a very much different mindset. I wish she was there, I really do.

I think, as a pro athlete, you know when you’re coming to the end of what you can give, whether that’s on the field or in the ring. And you start to think of moments that you want to make before it’s all over. And I’ve built not only this legacy with Brie, but this empire with her in and outside of the ring. And so, there’d be nothing more than I would love for her to join me.

I think we all know the force the Bella Twins have together. It’s been quite a journey without her, but I hope I can finish it with her.”
