Nikki Bella Competing On WWE Raw For First Time In 7 Years

Nikki Bella isn’t done competing in the ring after failing to win a battle royal at WWE Evolution.

The WWE Evolution PLE was a celebration of women’s wrestling. It featured seven matches in front of a hot Atlanta crowd. The night ended with a shocker as Naomi cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase during the classic Iyo Sky-Rhea Ripley match, and Naomi left the show as the Women’s World Champion.

There was also a battle royal at Evolution where WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella was the first woman to enter the match. The fans greeted Nikki with a huge ovation.

While Stephanie Vaquer went on to win the battle royal to earn a shot at the Women’s World Title at Clash in Paris, Nikki made it to the final four. Nikki was eliminated when Lash Legend kicked her off the apron to the floor.

During the battle royal, Nikki also had an interesting interaction with Chelsea Green, who had called out Nikki frequently in past interviews. During their interaction, Green did Nikki’s “legendary” booty shake in the match, but Nikki was able to hit her Rack Attack slam on Green. Right after that, Nikki eliminated Green from the match.

Nikki Bella Will Face Chelsea Green on WWE Raw In Birmingham

In a video posted to WWE’s social media accounts, Raw GM Adam Pearce announced that Nikki Bella will face Chelsea Green on the July 14th Raw in Birmingham. Green is technically a SmackDown superstar, but WWE’s brand split isn’t that strict these days.

Pearce mentioned that it is Nikki’s first match on Raw in seven years. The last time Nikki was in a match on Raw was October 8, 2018, when she teamed with Ronda Rousey and her sister Brie to beat the Riott Squad. That set up the heel turn that the Bellas did on Rousey, which led to Rousey defeating Nikki in the main event of the first Evolution PLE in October 2018.

In addition, Pearce announced that the new Women’s World Champion, Naomi, will be on Raw as well.

There will also be a 5-man Gauntlet Match to determine Gunther’s opponent for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam. The wrestlers in the match are CM Punk, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Penta and Bron Breakker.
