Nikki Bella Claims People Hate Her Because Of Her Love Life

Nikki Bella WWE John Cena

Nikki Bella recently got candid about the hate she faces from a section of WWE fans.

The former Divas Champion returned to the programming on the June 9 episode of RAW, wherein she was confronted and laid out by Liv Morgan.

The writers had planned a major rivalry between the two for the upcoming all-women’s Evolution PLE.

However, an injury to Morgan derailed the plans, leaving only doubt over how the Hall of Famer could be featured next.

The July 7 RAW episode delivered the answers after it was confirmed that Bella would compete in the battle royal.

Nikki Bella appeared on the Busted Open Radio podcast, where she voiced her thoughts about receiving online hate due to the people she dated and how she copes with it.

I feel—well, you know, it’s funny because it’s like, we could listen to some of the internet that just—there’s a part of the internet that absolutely hates me. And no matter what I do, they will just not like me. And that’s okay. It honestly has become laughable to me, because sure, some things can still hurt, of course.

But what I’ve realized is the more success you have, that just comes with it. No matter what you do. I was always taught it’s good to hear that noise—that means you’re doing something right and you’re more successful. So I think an easy reason for the hate is just the success.

I feel like sometimes my passion and my ambition can make people hate me. I think too, the people I date make people hate me. It’s just— you know what it is? I think when you’re a woman and you know your worth, they have to find something to hate because they can’t stand that you’re so comfortable in your skin. [H/T Ringside News]

Nikki Bella Discusses John Cena

On the same podcast, the 41-year-old was asked about meeting her ex-partner John Cena backstage.

Bella assured that things were cordial between them and no awkwardness.

I have so much respect for him and his wife and their relationship, and she is super sweet and amazing and she’s at all the shows. It’s been honestly very comfortable, very nice, and that’s great. That’s what you want from it… you don’t want things to be awkward and weird, and it’s not, so that’s really nice. [H/T Ringside News]

John Cena had famously proposed to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33. They parted ways a year later.
