Nikki Bella Candidly Reveals Why She Betrayed Stephanie Vaquer

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made her return to the promotion earlier this year. One-half of the Bella Twins, Nikki, had been a face ever since returning, and struck up a friendship with the Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

They had each other’s backs against multiple enemies, such as Chelsea Green and her Secret Hervice and The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Pereze and Raquel Rodriguez. Nikki even came out with Vaquer during her title defense against Raquel earlier this month.

However, following the match, she turned on Vaquer and attacked her with the Women’s World Title. The following week, she blindsided Vaquer with another brutal attack.

Nikki Bella wants to go after the Women’s World Title

In an interview with ESPN’s Get Up, the 42-year-old revealed her actual intentions behind her actions. Nikki Bella stated that ever since returning to the company, she felt that she had to prove herself once more.

She claimed that nice could only get her to a certain level and to get what she wants, she needs to be a bit bad. She made her intentions clear when she attacked Vaquer the second time that she’s gunning for her title.

“Well, you know, I did come back, and I am from a different era, and I have something to prove. And sometimes we have to prove that in different ways. Nice can get you so far, but sometimes you gotta be bad to get what you really want. And so I feel like the only way I could get what I want is to go in that direction,” Bella said.

She is now scheduled to go up against Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series this coming weekend. This will be the second title match that Bella would compete in following her WWE return.
