Nigel McGuinness Launches “The Fragile Countdown”
Nigel McGuinness has launched a new campaign to encourage ‘Brittle’ Bryan Danielson to face him at AEW Grand Slam.
After months of taking digs at AEW World Champion from behind the commentary booth, Nigel McGuinness has persuaded Tony Khan to give him a match against Bryan Danielson at Grand Slam. The only obstacle for McGuinness to reignite his feud with The American Dragon is that Danielson needs to be medically cleared to compete at the event.
According to McGuinness, though, Danielson is perfectly capable of getting in the ring, with his real problem being that he’s too scared to face him due to his memories of their legendary Ring of Honor rivalry.
Nigel McGuinness Wants Fans To Tell Bryan Danielson He’s A Coward
To try to persuade Danielson to accept the match, McGuinness has launched ‘The Fragile Countdown’ Wearing a t-shirt saying “Bryan Fears Nigel #AmericanCoward,” McGuinness has asked fans to take to social media to explain why “Cryin Bryan” is a coward.
“With 10 days to Grand Slam, we’ve yet to get a response from ‘Brittle’ Bryan Danielson about whether he will be able to compete at Grand Slam against me.
“With that in mind, I’m starting a daily call to action [sings] ‘It’s the fragile countdown!’
“Where I implore each of you who would like to see that clam digger show up at Arthur Ashe Stadium and get his ass handed to him, take to social media and explain why he is a coward. Maybe then, we’ll get an answer. Bryan, ball’s in your court.”
