Nigel McGuinness Looking To Continue In-Ring Career

Nigel McGuinness

Nigel McGuinness has unfinished business.

At AEW All In, Nigel McGuinness made a surprise return to the ring as part of the Casino Gauntlet Match. It was widely believed that the British star’s career was over when he last wrestled in 2011, but as shown time and time again in wrestling, dreams can come true.

Speaking after the match, McGuinness said that although he was unable to win, his return to the ring in front of 50,000 screaming Brits proved there’s always hope. But what if All In wasn’t the end, and instead, was the start of the kind of retirement run he previously thought impossible?

Nigel McGuinness Plotting More Matches

During a new interview with Raj Prashad of Uproxx, McGuinness confirmed he wants to wrestle at least one more time.

“Bryan’s certainly head of line because of our history, there’s so much emotion tied up in a match with him. Zack Sabre Jr. would be a dream match. Adam Copeland, he’s got another of those ‘broken bones.’ There are so many great talents, Lee Moriarty has been gracious enough to get in the ring with me before the shows at Collision, and that’s helped me a great deal.”

The British star went on to explain that he’s content being a commentator wrestling occasional matches, although he’s continued to train as though he’s back full-time. Despite his desire to keep wrestling, after receiving such an incredible response at All In, McGuinness is content should that be his last action in the ring.
